I have attached a picture of my initial thoughts and brainstorms when i settled on the idea of romance/intimacy/love within photography.
As such a broad topic which can be related and interpreted in many ways i thought i could capture different types of images from this subject.
I would like to include the idealistic views of society on love through looking at magazine content. I would look at high end magazines portrayal of love and affection hence using the photographer Annie Liebewitz, who has taken photographs in this style for Vanity Fair.
I would like to compare this type of photography with more realistic styles of photographs on this subject and how they differ in technique and style. This is why i have chosen Larry Clark and Nan Goldin as photographers who seem to capture a moment that doesn’t seem staged and is completely natural.
My personal preference is this style of photography whereby we are like a “fly on the wall” and seeing an intimate moment which appears private and therefore increasing the intimacy of the photo.
